An environment is a collection of resources, such as Kubernetes clusters and virtual machines, to deploy your pipelines. You can define your environments based on your process, or the way you want to install your services.

Configuring an environment

To configure an environment:

In CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS, you can define different environments. Common environment names are dev, test, staging, and production.

  1. From the CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS Home page, select Admin  Settings.

  2. Select Environment on the left pane.

  3. Enter a Name.

  4. (Optional) Enter a Description and/or Endpoint Name. If you enter Endpoint Name, select the Endpoint Type from the options.

  5. Select SAVE.

Your environment configuration is saved and listed on the right pane.

On the right pane, you can also edit and delete any environment configuration.

To edit an environment configuration:

  1. From the CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS Home page, select Admin  Settings.

  2. Select Environment on the left pane.

  3. Select an environment tool from the right pane.

  4. Make any updates.

  5. Select Update.

Your environment configuration is updated.

To delete an environment configuration:

  1. From the CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS Home page, select Admin  Settings.

  2. Select Environment on the left pane.

  3. Select an environment tool from the right pane.

  4. Select the trash can icon.

  5. Select DELETE.

    Delete

Your environment configuration is deleted.

You can select RESET to clear your selection at any time.
