Observability helps to measure the internal states of a system by examining its outputs. CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS supports both AppDynamics and NewRelic tools.

Configuring the AppDynamics tool

To configure the AppDynamics observability tool:

  1. From the CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS Home page, select Admin  Settings.

  2. Select Observability on the left pane.

  3. Select the AppDynamics Tool Type from the right pane.

  4. Enter a Name and an optional Description.

  5. Select the AppDynamics Tool Type from the options.

  6. Enter the Controller URL.

  7. Enter the Client Id.

  8. Enter the Client Secret.

  9. Select SAVE.

Your AppDynamics observability tool configuration is saved and listed on the right pane.

Configuring the New Relic tool

To configure the New Relic observability tool:

  1. From the CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS Home page, select Admin  Settings.

  2. Select Observability on the left pane.

  3. Select the New Relic Tool Type from the right pane.

  4. Enter a Name and an optional Description.

  5. Select the New Relic Tool Type from the options.

  6. Enter the Account Id.

  7. Enter the User API Key.

  8. Enter the License Key.

  9. Select SAVE.

Your New Relic observability tool configuration is saved and listed on the right pane.

Updating a configuration

You can update the observability configuration.

Select RESET to clear your selection at any time.

To update your observability configuration:

  1. From the CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS Home page, select Admin  Settings.

  2. Select Observability on the left pane.

  3. Select a configuration on the right pane.

  4. Make any updates.

  5. Select Update.

Your observability configuration is updated.

Deleting a configuration

To delete your observability configuration:

  1. From the CloudBees Release Orchestration SaaS Home page, select Admin  Settings.

  2. Select Observability on the left pane.

  3. Select a configuration on the right pane.

  4. Select Trash can Delete.

  5. Select DELETE.

Your observability configuration is deleted.
