A public, private, or hybrid computing environment that uses shared hosted resources.

  • Public cloud environments have resources that are hosted on the premises of the cloud service provider but enterprises are able to access those resources and use as much as they want at any given time.

  • Private clouds are hosted and used on the premises of the enterprise.

  • Hybrid clouds use a mixture of private and public cloud environments.
