The flag status indicates where each flag is in the lifecycle and answers the following questions:

Has the flag been deployed?

Is it an old flag that is not being used?

Is this flag serving everyone the same value, and can it be removed?
Flag status is derived from the flags’s impression data, and is reported to each environment.
A flag status can be one following states:

Active - Received impressions with different values over the last seven days.

Stale - Received impressions over the last seven days, but all had the same value.

Inactive - No impressions received within the past seven days.

Setup - No impressions received yet.

Permanent - A permanent (long-lived) flag, ignoring impression data.
