Pipeline Template Catalogs are not visible to TEAM_MEMBER users on Team controllers

Issue

  • In a Team Controller, TEAM_MEMBER users are not able to either view or use Pipeline Catalogs. Only TEAM_ADMIN users can.

Explanation

Starting from version 3.12 of the [CloudBees Pipeline Template plugin], TEAM_ADMIN users can configure the location of the Pipeline Template Catalog folder - in the Catalog configuration page via the field "Location for Job Template Catalog Folder". By setting the location to the Team Folder, the template catalog can be made available to TEAM_MEMBER users.

Resolution

This feature will be available in the February 2021 release.

Workaround

There is no workaround for TEAM Members. Only Team Administrators can add, view and use Pipeline Catalogs.
