CasC hot reload does not apply my latest bundle

Issue

Under Manage Jenkins I see an admin monitor advising me to apply the latest version of the CasC Bundle, where a message for a Safe Restart or Reload Configuration appears, and when clicked on Reload Configuration, the Bundle was not applied, the Bundle Update section is refreshed with a validation error but a new admin monitor displays The configuration bundle was successfully reloaded.

Resolution

This issue will be fixed in a future CloudBees CI release, and this article will be updated with the specific version number with the fix.

Workaround

The aforementioned admin monitor The configuration bundle was successfully reloaded is shown every time a new CasC Bundle is tried to be applied via Reload Configuration, regardless of whether the CasC Bundle is valid or not. When you see that admin monitor, double-check the Bundle Update section to confirm if the new CasC Bundle was applied or if there are validation errors in the CasC Bundle to be solved.
