About the DevOptics plugins

1 minute read

DevOptics has two plugins:

  • DevOptics installation plugin - This plugin is required only for Jenkins users. The DevOptics installation plugin is not stored in the main Jenkins update center. Jenkins users must install the DevOptics installation plugin first to add the CloudBees update center to Jenkins.

  • DevOptics plugin - This plugin is required for Jenkins and CloudBees CI.

Plugins enable DevOptics to access data from your masters to:

  • Provide insights into your continuous delivery platform.

  • Show real-time value flowing through value streams.

  • Calculate DevOps performance metrics.

You can connect as many client masters as you want. DevOptics aggregates the data from all your connected masters.

Plugins are not required if you only want to model value streams. You must install the plugins to see value flowing through the value streams and to see metrics.
