Install CloudBees CD/RO on traditional platforms

This section describes the methods for installing CloudBees CD/RO in a new environment for on-premise installations. To upgrade CloudBees CD/RO Automation Platform or CloudBees CD/RO, refer to upgrade documentation.

This page does not provide direct download links; existing customers should contact their Customer Success Manager for more information.

When installing a new version or upgrading CloudBees CD/RO, a workspace directory is created in a default location. If your current workspace files are in a non-default directory, you must manually specify the link to that location in the new configuration.

Not all combinations of server version and agent version are supported. This is because of an incompatibility involving ectool/Perl API communication with the CloudBees CD/RO server and a Diffie-Hellman key size incompatibility. For details, refer to CloudBees CD/RO server and agent requirements.

Although the CloudBees CD/RO installer is in $INSTALL_DIRECTORY/src, do not launch it from there.

Windows installation files

The following installation files are available for Windows.

Pseudo 64-bit full

Installs all components, including the CloudBees CD/RO server, built-in database, web server, repository server, agents, and CloudBees CD/RO tools.

Installs the Pseudo 64-bit agent.

CloudBeesFlow-<version>.exe

32-bit agent only

Installs the 32-bit agent.

CloudBeesFlowAgent-x86-<version>.exe

Pseudo 64-bit agent only

Installs the Pseudo 64-bit agent.
