This section describes the methods for installing CloudBees CD/RO in a new environment for on-premise installations. To upgrade CloudBees CD/RO Automation Platform or CloudBees CD/RO, see Roadmap to upgrade CloudBees CD/RO .
| The following situation might occur when the workspace files are in a directory other than the default workspace directory and the CloudBees CD/RO configuration links to it. When you install a new version, CloudBees CD/RO creates a workspace directory in the default location. It does not recognize the preconfigured workspace link in the previous configuration. When configuring CloudBees CD/RO after an upgrade, you cannot use ecconfigure to move the workspace directory to the preconfigured network location. You must manually specify the link to the workspace directory in the new configuration. |
Not all combinations of server version and agent version are supported. This is because of an incompatibility involving ectool/Perl API communication with the CloudBees CD/RO server and a Diffie-Hellman key size incompatibility. For details, see CloudBees CD/RO server and agent requirements.
Although the CloudBees CD/RO installer is in $INSTALL_DIRECTORY/src, do not launch it from there.
