Copying an existing dashboard

You can create a new CloudBees Analytics dashboard more quickly by copying an existing dashboard. This includes any built-in dashboards as well as any custom dashboards that you created.

  1. Select New Dashboard. The New dialog displays.

  2. Select Copy Existing. The New From CloudBees Analytics Dashboard dialog displays.

  3. Browse to the dashboard that you want to copy, and then select it.

When you create a copy of the built-in Release Command Center dashboard, the associated reports are not copied at the same time. If you need to modify the report definitions, you must create copies of those reports before changing them, as with other built-in reports.

The New dialog displays. The dashboard name and description fields are populated with the values from the dashboard that you copied.

  4. Modify the dashboard name and description fields as needed:

  5. Select OK. The new dashboard opens in Dashboard Editor mode.

  6. (Optional) Select Add Filters to add a filter.

The Time Reference filter is added by default when you create a new dashboard via the dashboard editor. A dialog for selecting filters for the new dashboard opens.

Select Custom Filter to add your own custom filters.

  7. Select one or more filters, and then select OK.

  8. (Optional) Select View Dashboard to view the new dashboard in View Dashboard mode. The new dashboard displays in the menu of available dashboards in the top right corner of the dashboards page.

  9. Add one or more widgets as needed. For details, refer to Defining dashboard widgets.
