CloudBees Smart Tests extension for Visual Studio Code is ideal when you want to quickly sanity check your local commit before pushing the changes back to the team repository. You can easily use Predictive Test Selection on your local machine, outside CI.

Requirements

The following are required to use CloudBees Smart Tests extension for Visual Studio Code:

Usage

  1. Install CloudBees Smart Tests extension for VS Code.

  2. Click the CloudBees Smart Tests icon, which appears in the Activity bar.

  3. Press the button Start Test.

  4. Enter the API key.

  5. Choose your Test runner.

  6. Results will start appearing, after the test execution finishes.

Supported test runners

Currently, CloudBees Smart Tests extension for VS Code, supports the following test runners:

  • maven

  • rspec

  • go-test

  • pytest

If not using any of these, then use the file profile.
