Filters page

A filter lets you drill down to a relevant set of information. The Cluster Manager provides a set of predefined filters for commonly requested information such as broken builds, lists of builds for a particular build class, lists of broken agents, and error messages.

You can choose a predefined filter or a custom filter from the Saved Filters drop-down menu that appears in lists that support filtering. Users can create their own custom filters.

Saved Filters Panel

The Saved Filters panel appears on the left side of a page. The panel lists all Accelerator-supplied filters and filters that you create for your own use only.

The Saved Filters panel has the following functions:

  • My Saved Filters —Lists the custom filters that were created by the currently logged in account

  • Legacy Filters —Lists the predefined filters

  • button—Saves your modifications to the selected filter

  • button—Deletes the selected filter. A popup asks you to confirm the deletion

  • (permalink) button—Provides permanent, direct access to a filter. Click the button to browse to the version of the filter that has a permanent URL. You can bookmark a permalink in your browser or send it to others for convenient viewing.

Functionality

  • Clicking a (column filtering) button at the top of a column opens a dialog box where you can adjust the filtering by choosing values from the values available in that column. For example, you can adjust the filtering for the Status column so that the table includes only the successful builds.

  • The Actions column lets you edit or delete the filter in that row.

  • You can also:

  • Click a column heading to sort the information in that column

  • Set the page refresh interval to keep your information current

  • Set the number of records that you want to see per page

Lists That Do Not Support Filters

Most lists in the Cluster Manager web interface support filtering. The exceptions are:

  • Users and Groups —No filtering because they follow a different model (they are a combination of local and LDAP/Active Directory based users).

  • Licenses —No filtering because there are few licenses in the system.

  • Credentials —No filtering because there are relatively few credentials in the system.

  • Current Instance Status —No filtering because the set of instances is usually small.
