Two-factor authentication

If you want to use two-factor authentication for logging into your CloudBees Feature Flags account, you can read about how to set that up here. To do this, you’re going to need to install the Google Authenticator app on your phone.

Installing the Google Authenticator App

Go to your app store, search Google Authenticator and install the app:

Enabling two-factor authentication

  • Navigate to User Settings, as described in the User Settings section.

  • At the bottom of the screen, below the Password text box, click the Enable Two Factor Authentication link.

  • This will show you a QR code. Open the Google Authenticator app and click the Plus icon to add a new account. When prompted, click Scan a Barcode.

  • Hold your phone up to the screen so that it can scan the CloudBees Feature Flags QR code. Once it scans, it will show you a code on your phone.

  • Click the Enter Code button on the CloudBees Feature Flags site and then enter the code you see in the authenticator app.

  • Once it accepts your code, it will give you a series of recovery codes for logging in, should you ever lose access to your phone. Copy these somewhere safe, and then click Close.

  • Two-factor authentication is now enabled for your app.

  • To check the status of which team members do or do not have two-factor authentication enabled, you can look on the team management page.

Regenerating recovery codes

  • To regenerate recovery codes, you must have two-factor authentication enabled.

  • Navigate to User Settings, as described in the User Settings section.

  • Click the Regenerate Recovery Codes link.

  • You will be presented with a new set of recovery codes. Copy these somewhere safe, and then click Close.
