Onboard to CloudBees Unify

Start your journey with CloudBees Unify by setting up an organization, welcoming initial users, and configuring key integrations such as your SCM. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Step 1: Create your organization

  1. Sign up for an account:

    • Visit https://cloudbees.io/.

    • Sign up using Google social or GitHub OAuth credentials, or enter your email and password for a standard signup.

  2. Verify your email:

    • Once you’ve created an account, check your email inbox.

    • Look for an email with the subject line "CloudBees Email Verification".

    • Select Verify in the email. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the provided link into your browser’s address bar to complete verification.

  3. Automatic organization creation:

    • During the signup process, your initial organization is created automatically.

    • You can further customize this organization post-signup by accessing your organization’s settings in the CloudBees dashboard.

Step 2: Invite initial users

  1. RBAC overview: CloudBees Unify uses RBAC to manage access. Assign roles such as Admin and User to control access levels within your organization.

  2. Invite users:

    • Go to your Tenant settings.

    • Select Users.

    • Select Invite Users and enter their email addresses.

    • Assign each user a Team (Users or Admins) based on their responsibilities.

    • Send invitations.

Step 3: Set up SCM integrations

  1. Understanding integrations: Integrations in CloudBees are essential for automating workflows. They connect to external systems like GitHub or Bitbucket, enabling source code management.

  2. Setting up an SCM integration:

    • Go to Configurations  Integrations in your organization.

    • Select Create integration and choose your SCM provider (for example, GitHub or Bitbucket).

    • Authenticate with your SCM credentials to allow access.

    • Configure options such as repository permissions and branches.

    • Save the integration settings.
