AI Assistant capabilities reference

2 minute read

The capabilities and limitations of the AI Assistant, organized by what is available on all pages and what is page-specific.

General capabilities

The following capabilities are available on all CloudBees Unify pages.

Navigate to pages

Go directly to any page using natural language: Go to Feature management, Take me to Components, Open Audit History. Refer to Navigate and filter with the AI Assistant for details.

Remember context

Build on previous requests within a session. After Show me inactive flags, enter Now filter those by "beta" label without repeating yourself.

Provide suggestions

After each response, the AI Assistant suggests relevant next actions based on your current page.

List pending approval tasks

Retrieve manual job and environment gate approval tasks waiting for your action, scoped to your user account. For example: list pending approval tasks or list all tasks. You can also find the same tasks in the inbox in the global header. Refer to View pending approval tasks in your inbox for details.

Limitations

Requires confirmation for changes

The AI Assistant can create, update, and delete resources, but requires your confirmation before committing any changes. It cannot deploy components or configure CI/CD pipelines.

Limited to current page context

For most tasks, the AI Assistant works with what is on your current page and cannot search across your entire instance. Capabilities that retrieve data from the API, such as listing pending approval tasks, are not subject to this limitation.

Cannot execute automated workflows

The AI Assistant cannot configure CI/CD pipelines or perform multi-step automated tasks.

Page-specific capabilities

The following capabilities are only available on specific pages.
