Create, access, and manage organizations to build hierarchical structures that align with your organizational needs.
| You need administrative permissions in your organization to manage organizational structure. For permission details, refer to RBAC permissions reference. |
Navigate to Admin settings > Organization profile for all organization management tasks.
Access organizations
Your current organization is displayed above the left navigation. Use the up/down arrows above or below Home to switch between organizations you have access to, or search as needed.
To view organization management options, navigate to Admin settings > Organization profile. To check your personal organization membership, select your account name > User profile > Organizations tab.
Create an organization
Create organizations to represent different business units, teams, or projects within your organizational hierarchy.
| Creating child organizations is only available to paid subscription plan users. |
To create an organization:

Select the Organizations tab.

Perform one of the following options:

Select Create organization.

Select
next to the organization you want as the parent, and then select Create.

(Optional) Select Edit to change the parent organization.

Select a new parent organization from the list.

Select Save.

Enter a Name and optional Description.
-
Select Create.
The organization is created accordingly.
Update organization profiles
Modify organization names, descriptions, and access organization identifiers.
To update an organization:

Select the Organizations tab.

Select
, and then select Edit. -
Update the Name and/or optional Description.

Select Save.
Your organization profile is updated accordingly.
Delete an organization
Remove organizations that are no longer needed.
| A deleted organization is completely removed from CloudBees Unify, and deletion is irreversible. All child organizations and components are also deleted. |
To delete an organization:

Select the Organizations tab.

Select
, and then select Delete. -
Select Delete.
The organization is deleted, including all of its child organizations and components.
Locate organization ID
Every organization is identified by a unique multi-hexadecimal ID (UUID). You can use these UUIDs for API integrations and advanced configuration.
To locate an organization ID:

Select the Profile tab to view the Organization ID for your current organization.
The organization ID is displayed accordingly.
Select
to copy the ID.
The organization ID is required for using some platform features, including:

Organization API operations

OIDC authentication setup

External system integrations

Advanced workflow configurations
