The Artifact versions page displays all artifact versions available on CloudBees CD/RO.

You can search for artifact versions and save the search filters for later use. For more information, refer to Search and filter.

View the artifact versions list

The following describes the options at the top of the artifact versions list.

Field Name Description

Upload artifact version

Opens the Publish Artifact Version screen. Complete the following fields:

  1. Select the Artifact Name from the options.

  2. Enter the Version.

  3. Select the Repository from the options.

  4. Select the checkbox to Enable Compression. This is optional and disabled by default. It is necessary to compress the artifact version before it is stored in the repository.

  5. Select the Artifact Files to be uploaded by one of the following methods:

    • File upload: Select Choose Files.

    • Folder upload: Select Choose Files.

Filters:

  • Select Default filter to display the list of existing filters.

  • Select the Add new filter icon to create and define new filter criteria.

  • Select the Edit filter link to rename an existing filter.

Find…

(Optional) Enter a name or partial text to filter the list. This field is case-sensitive.

All artifacts

Select the artifact to filter the artifact version list. Use the search field to quickly search the list.

Tags

The list of tags available to the artifact version. Use the search field to quickly search the list.

To view the list of artifact versions, from the CloudBees CD/RO main menu, navigate to DevOps essentials  Artifact management[Artifact versions].

The following describes the columns at the top of the artifact versions list.

Column Name Description / Actions

Name

The name of the artifact version. Select an artifact version name to go to the Artifact versions Details page for that artifact version.

Artifact

The name of the artifact. Select an artifact name to go to the Artifact Details page for that artifact.

Artifact Key

The "key" identifier for this artifact version.

Group id

The name of the group where this artifact version is a member.

Version

The artifact version is represented, by default, as major.minor.patch-qualifier-buildNumber.

You will not see all five artifact version components specified if only three parts were defined.

Enabled

The current state of this artifact version, either enabled or disabled.

Actions

Actions you can perform on the artifact version, including the following:

  • Details: Opens the Edit Artifact Version screen to modify the artifact version.

  • File Manager: Opens the File Manager screen to download files associated with the artifact version.

  • Retrievers: Opens the Retrievers screen to view a list Application process runs associated with the artifact version. Select an item from the list to view the retrieved artifact information.

  • Dependent Versions: (Optional) Opens a list of artifact versions. All dependent artifact versions must exist for this artifact version to be retrievable. When this artifact version is successfully retrieved, its dependent artifact versions are also retrieved.

    If no dependent versions are associated, this option is grayed out.
  • Properties: Opens the Properties screen. Properties are the objects related to the group. Do one of the following:

    • Select Add directory to create the directory for the property.

      • Directory – Enter name for the directory to be added.

      • Place into… – This determines the directory (property sheet) to contain the property.

        For more information about properties, refer to Properties.

    • Select the + to “Add Property” to the object and complete the following fields:

      • Property name – Name for the property.

      • Expandable – Enable to allow this property to be referenced for expansion.

      • Place into… – This determines the directory (property sheet) to contain the property.

      • Description – This is a description of the property.

      • Value – Declare a value for the property.

  • Access control: Displays the privileges assigned to the artifact version.

    You can also view the inherited privileges.

    • Select the + to add a privilege.

    • Complete the Type field and indicate the permission level (inherit, allow, or deny) for each category (read, modify, execute, and change permissions).

  • Change History: Displays the change history associated with the artifact versions.

  • Delete: Delete the artifact version.

Edit an existing artifact version

Edit an artifact version by selecting the Actions menu Details option.

  1. Complete the following fields.

    Field Name Description / Action

    Name

    Edit the artifact version name.

    Description

    Add or edit a description.

    Enabled

    Check or uncheck the box provided.

    Publisher

    Select this link to go to the Job Details page for the job that completed the publish operation. If this artifact version was published outside a job context, (for example, from ectool), the value for this field is "None".

    Tags

    The list of tags available to the artifact version.

    1. Select the arrow to apply tags to the artifact version.

    2. Select OK.

  2. Select OK.

Delete artifact versions

There are two ways to delete artifact versions.

  1. Navigate to DevOps essentials  Artifact management  Artifact versions.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To delete a single artifact version or multiple artifact versions:

      • Select the checkbox next to the desired artifact version(s).

      • Select Delete artifacts at the bottom of the page.

    • To delete a specific artifact version:

      • Select the Actions menu for the artifact version to be deleted, and then select Delete.
